MC Bio: The horrible mother-spider dwelling in Mirkwood, Tairach was likely a direct descendent of Shelob. After catching and killing many elves, Tairach captured and nearly killed Raniean, Trelan and Morifwen among others but Aragorn and Legolas arrived in time to free the elves. Tairach met her demise trying to kill Aragorn and meeting Legolas’s arrows in the middle, having already been wounded by Aragorn earlier she died in her own lair.

MC Bio: Talft was one of Ruddryn’s cruelest overseers, and although it often seemed that his friend Lur was in charge when they were abusing Aragorn or one of the others, Talft was generally the one to carry out the punishment. He was particularly cruel to Aragorn and he and Lur relentlessly made fun of his memory loss and beat him when they were sure no one would see. However when Legolas became one of the overseers, though at first Talft and Lur were on friendly terms with him, they soon discovered that Legolas would not let them get away with abusing Aragorn. So when Legolas was caught looking through Ruddryn’s plans, Talft and Lur were only too happy to punish Legolas nearly to death, then to abuse him again later when he had barely recovered, upon this incident Lur was knocked out by an enraged Aragorn and Talft told Rhuddryn. Talft and another overseer then took Aragorn and Legolas to the salt mines to work. By the end of the day, even though Aragorn was half-dead and Legolas was burned and dehydrated, Talft, still angry about what was done to Lur, made Legolas walk all the way back tied to the cart. Later when the slaves took over the plantation, however, Talft and Lur are allowed to live with the rest of the overseers and were simply told to leave and not come back.

MC Bio: Strong and respected, Taradin was not without his flaws, and when he got it into his head to capture Hebrilith for killing his men, Taradin made the mistake of capturing and torturing Legolas instead and only Aragorn managed to convince him that he captured the wrong elf. After this however Taradin admitted his mistake and later helped Aragorn and Legolas several times. Taradin was an especially respected leader and though he had only a small hunting band when first Aragorn and Legolas met him, by the time they cross paths later, Taradin had a full compliment of men who followed him. One of them being his adopted son Garith, after the boy’s parents died, Taradin took him in and proved to be a very protective father. Taradin was also the one to give Erron work and a place to stay even after he found Maraen and Estelle. Later Taradin also assisted Aragorn and Legolas, dispersing a group of trolls.

Aragorn encouraged Tarcil many times to try and understand Denethor, but Tarcil could not get past the fact that Denethor was never fair towards Aragorn. Later Tarcil assisted in the battle against Alcarin and his men and then the battle with the Corsairs. In the end, when Aragorn decided to leave Gondor behind in order to find Legolas, he left Tarcil in charge in his place.

History: Second son of Orophir - Thranduil was not actually the first in line to rule the wood elves until his elder brother Doriflen was proved to be unstable in his mind. After his father's death in the Last Alliance Thranduil became king of Greenwood the Great and ruled wisely. He married Elvéwen and bore only one son, Legolas Greenleaf. When Legolas was still young Thranduil repulsed an attempt by Doriflen to take from him his thrown and exiled his older brother for his crimes against the wood elves and the abuses his traitorous brother had heaped upon Legolas. After the building of Dol Guldor in the southern parts of Greenwood, the forest began to grow dark and evil things took up residence in its depths. Thranduil's kingdom was renamed 'Mirkwood' and the task of keeping his borders secure became more dangerous. His wife eventually traveled across the sea, but the date of her departure is not known.

MC Bio: Though at times both stern and staid in his ways, Thranduil yet loved his son and his kingdom and was not above admitting to his mistakes. Amongst other slow changes in the elven king's perception of the world about him, the rescue of Legolas by Lord Elrond planted in Thranduil a respect for the Noldor elves, and his encounters with Aragorn built a certain trust for men as well. Thranduil was both capable, wise, and compassionate - and if he was not so far-seeing as the Noldor, nor always so easy with his son in small matters, he was yet a leader who commanded the loyalty of a great portion of the Silvan elves in Middle Earth. At last he joined his wife across the sea.

History: Trelan was always possessed of an eager personality, bravery, and a determination to excel despite his lesser height. His two greatest friends were Raniean and Prince Legolas, and he frequently spent his days with them - if only to escape a household overrun with his boisterous cousins. Trelan's greatest ambition was to follow in his father's footsteps and become a warrior of Thranduil's house. Though very young, Trelan became heavily involved with the civil war between King Thranduil and Lord Doriflen, ultimately being instrumental in the finding of the kidnapped Prince Legolas. At the end of his Maethor training Trelan was accepted as a Sentinel, a protector of the royal family of Mirkwood.

MC Bio: As time progressed, Trelan's role as Sentinel was honed until he became a sort of unofficial bodyguard to Legolas. Together he and Raniean had charge of a company of elven warriors whose duties centered mostly around the protection of their home's borders, over which darkness was again beginning to creep. He also became a good friend of Aragorn's, having met the ranger through Legolas. During Lord Doriflen’s second attempt to take the throne of Mirkwood, Trelan’s timely arrival and swift reflexes helped to save a great many lives, including his king’s. When Thranduil’s demented elder brother made a last attempt to take Thranduil and Legolas’ lives, it was Trelan who slew Doriflen before he could succeed. Both loyal and skilled, Trelan's height was never a measure of his worth. His horse's name was Kynter. Eventually Trelan traveled over the sea with Raniean to Valinor.

History: Tyrin was the leader of the bullies who started picking on Estel because he was playing around their hangout, an old mill. Apparently known for being mean, most children avoided them but Aragorn learned that the hard way. Making fun of his name, the elves and telling him he has no place where he belonged, Tyrin was clearly a senseless bully. A fact which was made abundantly clear by the beating he and his friend proceeded to give Estel despite the young boy’s best efforts to avoid a fight. In the end Tyrin shoved Estel off the mill seriously injuring him and when it looked to the bullies like he might be dead Tyrin told them to deny they’d ever been there and they left without even checking to see Estel was still alive.
