Isengard is the forbidding dwelling of Saruman the White. Though the wizard seemed to be a friend to Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas when they saught refuge in Isengard, unbenknowst to them he had stolen the Seventh Palantir and was even then building an army of orcs right beneath their feet.

Here you will find a complete list of all the characters from the Mellon Chronicles series both appearing and mentioned, accompanying each character is a detailed bio including a brief history of the character along with all available information about their appearance and family!

- How to Use this Encyclopedia
To use this Encyclopedia, simply click a letter you would like to browse, this will bring up all the characters for that letter.
At the top of the page is an index, click a name within the index and you will jump instantly to the character's bio.
At the bottom of each bio there is a link 'Return to Index' clicking this will cause you to jump instantly back to the index, however you have the option to simply scroll through all the characters for that letter without the index.
For a given character we give as much available information as possible. However there bios may contain more or less detail depending on how often the character appears in the series.
You will also note, at the bottom of every bio, there is an option to report an error. This is to be used if there is an error somewhere in that particular character's bio. See rules about using this feature below.
Also, at the top of this page, where it gives the current number of characters, if you click that link it will bring up a complete alphabetical list of the characters without their bios.
As I mentioned there is a feature on each bio which allows you to report errors on a given character however there are some rules regulating the use of this feature.
1. Please do not report any details not mentioned in the bio unless they seem very important: We tried to be as brief with the bios as we could and though we feel like we covered the characters as thoroughly as we were willing, there may turn out to be details (especially on smaller characters) that we missed. However please do not report every detail that does not appear in the bio. =)
2. Please leave the subject box as it is: I receive a fair amount of junk mail and I don't want to miss a report because I don't recognize the subject. =)
3. Please report each character with its corresponding link: If you have an error report on Kaldur and one on Galion please do not send them in the same e-mail. =)
4. Please do not report every single grammar error: I am very interested if we made serious blunders and/or spelling mistakes in the bios, but please do not bombard us with punctuation errors of every sort even though I'm sure we've made them. ;)
5. Please do not report details 'missed' in recent fics: It may take us a while to update a given bio after a new fic comes out so bare with us. =)
None of the characters listed in the encyclopedia belong to us, they are the sole property of Cassia, Siobhan or Tolkien, we do not wish to at all imply that they are ours. We simply documented the characters biographies from information available in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and/or the Mellon Chronicles Series. =)

Please note: The information we have used here is derived from both the books and the films, but chiefly from Cassia and Siobhan's Mellon Chronicles. At certain points where the books and films are at variance with the fanfiction, we have favored the Mellon Chronicles as canon. This is, after all, a Mellon Chronicles fansite! :D
Also: We have divided general summaries of the characters into two sections: 'History' and 'MC Bio'.
The difference between the two headings is that 'History' refers to events in the characters lives prior to their first meeting, and 'MC Bio' covers all the events after their first meeting.
